Peter Jöback is taking his acclaimed show “I Love Musicals” to Japan, where he will be sharing the stage with some of the world’s greatest musical stars. For the first time ever, Peter Jöback, Ramin Karimloo, Norm Lewis and Sierra Borgess will performing together, accompanied by Japanese star Seiko Niizuma. There will be two concerts on July 7th at the Nippon Budokan Arena in Tokyo. 

The “I Love Musicals” concept was created by Peter Jöback in 2012. Its success was followed up in 2013 and most recently in 2015. Over 65,000 people attended the tour in which Peter Jöback teamed up with Helen Sjöholm as co-hosts. 

“I Love Musicals” has been a giant success, and thanks to the overwhelming response the show will now be introduced to stages outside of Scandinavia. On July 7th, Peter Jöback, Norm Lewis, Ramin Karimloo and Sierra Bogess will be performing “I Love Musicals” in Tokyo. Accompanying them on stage will be one of the world’s leading orchestras Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra as well as a special guest, Japanese musical star Seiko Niizuma. 

Peter Jöback

Peter Jöback is not just Sweden’s biggest musical artist – he has also received much acclaim for his performances on the great stages of London’s West End and on Broadway in New York, where he played the title roll in “The Phantom of the Opera” in 2012-2013. In New York he was the first Swede to perform at the legendary Tony Awards. Last year, Peter Jöback toured with “I Love Musicals” together with Helen Sjöholm, and this fall we will be seeing him return to his leading role in “The Phantom of the Opera”, in Stockholm.

Ramin Karimloo

Ramin Karimloo, one of today’s most brightly shining musical stars, introduced himself to the global musical scene on the 25th anniversary of “Les Misérables” at the O2 Arena. The Broadway production of “Les Misérables” resulted in a Tony Award nomination for Karimloo, who also has played both main male roles in “The Phantom of the Opera” in the West End.

Norm Lewis

Norm Lewis’ home territory is New York’s Broadway, where his performances include some of the greatest musicals such as “Les Misérables”, “Miss Saigon”, “Tommy” and “Chicago”. Norm has also performed in the West End production of “Les Misérables” and was given the great honour of playing Javert in the 25th anniversary show at the O2 Arena. He was nominated for a Tony and a Drama Desk Award for his critically acclaimed performance in the Broadway musical “Porgy and Bess” in 2011. Most recently, he appeared in “The Phantom of the Opera”, where he made musical history by being the first Afro-American to play the Phantom.

Sierra Bogess

Sierra Bogess made her Broadway debut as Ariel in "The Little Mermaid", for which she received a Drama Desk Award. She played Christine in the original cast of the sequel to The Phantom of the Opera, "Love Never Dies" against Ramin Karimloo in London's West End. The two of them also paired up as Christine and The Phantom in the 25th anniversary of The Phantom of the Opera at Royal Albert Hall in London where Peter joined them at the grand finale. 

Seiko Niizuma (special guest)

Seiko has played leading roles in “Les Misérables” and “Miss Saigon”. She is the number one musical diva in Japan, and is also well loved outside Japan thanks to her strong voice and great charisma.
